This is a set for people who love chunky jewelry. I understood the stones where amethyst but not sure if they are. They appear more like a ceramic stone. The stones are still beautiful.
The large beads are trapezoid shaped (triangles with a flat top instead of pointed). They are separated by rondelle shaped beads of the same color. Only the rondelle shaped beads are along the collar and back. The beads are strung a lavender leather cord. The cord is doubled up for added security with these heavy beads.Length: 20"
